The Gibson Hummingbird Special carries on the legacy of one of the most iconic acoustic guitars ever made and is handcrafted with care in Bozeman, Montana, by Gibson’s expert acoustic luthiers
The Special features a traditional square-shouldered body, constructed from genuine solid mahogany for the back and sides, and a solid Sitka spruce top reinforced with our traditional scalloped X-bracing. This combination of tonewoods delivers a warm, balanced tone with excellent dynamic range that is perfect for any style of music. The “concert depth” body is slightly thinner than the body on a Hummingbird Standard, giving it a leaner, tighter bass response!
